The short version
Quorly is a writing app that runs entirely in your browser. We do not receive your documents, your titles, your images, your keystrokes or your file names. There is no server that stores your writing. The only thing we measure is anonymous page visits.
What never leaves your device
- Your writing. Document titles and bodies, including embedded images, are stored in your browser's local storage on your own machine.
- Your versions. Local snapshots used by Version History are stored the same way.
- Your files. When you use Save, the file is written directly to your disk through the browser's file picker. It is never uploaded.
What we do measure
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for anonymous visit counts. It is cookieless and does not use fingerprinting or cross-site identifiers. It reports aggregate information such as:
- Page URL and referring site
- Coarse location (country) and browser, operating system and device type
- Page-load performance metrics (Core Web Vitals)
It does not record what you type, and we never send document content to it. This aggregate data is handled by Cloudflare under their privacy policy.
Local storage we set
Quorly keeps your document and its settings in your browser's local storage (keys such as
doc_title_v13, doc_body_v13 and doc_versions_v13), so
your work survives a refresh. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser's
site data deletes them permanently — so export anything important.
No accounts, no email
Quorly has no sign-up, no login and no newsletter. We do not have a way to contact you and you do not have a way to give us your email address.
